Each of our potential investments receives rigorous, thoughtful and expert analysis before being committed to the portfolio and new investments are only made when the Investment Committee reaches unanimous agreement among its members.
The following biographies provide a listing of the founding members and Investment Committee of JOG Capital, their positions and prior employment histories:

Mr. Cowie is the President of JOG Capital. He was the founding Partner of JOG Capital in 2002, and is primarily involved in deal sourcing, investment committee analysis, and sits on boards of JOG Capital's portfolio companies. Mr. Cowie has over 25 years of experience in the Calgary financial and oil and gas industries. He was most recently the head of Energy Investment Banking for Bank of America in Calgary from 1992 to 2002. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Cowie was one of the founders and directors of two private junior oil and gas companies. From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Cowie was employed in Investment Banking for Midland Doherty, a Canadian investment dealer. He was responsible for IPOs, flow-through offerings and M&A for the junior oil and gas sector. From 1984 to 1987, Mr. Cowie headed the office of the Chemical Bank of Canada in Calgary, where he was responsible for managing the energy portfolio. From 1981 to 1984, Mr. Cowie was employed in the Bank of Montreal Corporate Banking Group, Petroleum Division, based in Calgary.
Mr. Cowie holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce, with a major in Finance, from McGill University. He also played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in the late 1970s.
On behalf of the JOG Capital funds, Donald Cowie sits on the Board of Directors of several portfolio companies, including Polaris Resources Ltd.; Bountiful Resources Inc.; Standard Energy Inc.; Redcliffe Exploration Inc.; Crocotta Energy Inc.; and Spry Energy Inc.

Chad Weiss
Mr. Weiss was the co-founding Partner of JOG Capital in 2002, and is involved in deal sourcing and investment management, he sits on the the JOG Capital Investment Committee and the boards of JOG Captial's portfolio companies. Mr. Weiss has almost 30 years of experience as an investment banker and investor in the energy sector. From October 2002, until resigning in May 2006 to spend full time with JOG Capital, Mr. Weiss was Managing Director and Head of the Energy Group for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Before joining RBC, Mr. Weiss was Managing Director and Head of Energy and Power Group at Bank of America Securities. From early 1981, until joining Bank of America securities in 1998, Mr. Weiss was a senior investment banker with Smith Barney (now Citigroup), and had served as the Managing Director in charge of their Energy and Power group for a number of years prior to his departure.
Mr. Weiss received a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
On behalf of the JOG Limited Partnerships, Chad Weiss sits on the boards of Livingston Energy Ltd. and Exshaw Oil Corp.

Daryl is the newest member of the JOG Capital team bringing over 30 years of petroleum engineering and related regulatory experience. Mr. Gilbert will also be a member of JOG Capital's Investment Committee.
Mr. Gilbert is best known in the industry for his work as an independent consultant in reserves evaluation through his work with Gilbert Laustsen Jung Associates Ltd. (also known as "GLJ". the largest independent petroleum engineering firm in Canada). Mr. Gilbert was with GLJ from 1979 until his retirement in 2005. GLJ provides professional services to the Canadian and international oil and gas industry including detailed reservoir and economic analyses, project and corporate evaluations, fair market value appraisals, merger and acquisition advice and expert witness testimony. Mr. Gilbert was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of GLJ in 1994 after serving as a principal officer from 1988 to 1994. He entered the field of independent consulting in 1979 when he joined the predecessor oil and gas engineering and geological firm which became Gilbert Laustsen Jung Associates Ltd. In 1976 he joined Great Northern Oil Ltd. where he managed various oil and gas exploitation projects.
Mr. Gilbert's extensive experience in the Canadian junior and senior energy sector will be extremely beneficial in the analysis and management of both JOG's existing portfolio companies and its future investments.
Daryl is a member of the Association of Petroleum Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. He is also a director for a number of public and private companies, including AltaGas Income Trust; Penn West Energy Trust; Kereco Energy Ltd.; Crocotta Energy Inc.; and Spry Energy Ltd. Kereco, Crocotta and Spry are current JOG Capital portfolio companies.

Mr. Crawford joined JOG Capital in 2004, prior to the fundraising of JOG LP II, and is primarily involved in investment analysis, management of funds, and sits on several boards of JOG Capital's portfolio companies. Mr. Crawford has over 10 years of experience in the Calgary financial and oil and gas industry. He was most recently Relationship Manger for the Senior Energy Desk at ATB Financial from 2002 to 2004. Prior to ATB Financial, Mr. Crawford was an Associate in the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division at Bank of America's Calgary office. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Crawford was an Analyst with Credit Lyonnais, focusing on structured energy lending in their Calgary office.
Mr. Crawford received his CFA charter in 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Finance specialization from the University of Saskatchewan.
On behalf of the JOG Capital funds, Ryan Crawford sits on the Board of Directors of Camton Exploration.; Medora Resources Inc.; and Salvo Energy Corporation.

Craig Golinowski
Mr. Golinowski joined JOG Capital in July 2007 and is primarily involved in investment analysis and management of funds. Mr. Golinowski has over five years of experience in the financial and oil and gas industry. Prior to JOG Capital, he interned at Edgestone Capital Partners in Toronto in their leveraged buy-out group. Prior to Edgestone, Mr. Golinowski spent three years as an investment banker with RBC Capital Markets focusing on equity finance and mergers and acquisitions for domestic and international oil and gas, oil sands, and energy service companies.
Craig Golinowski received his CFA charter in 2005 and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a specialisation in Finance and Economics, from the University of Alberta.

Mrs. Gramatke is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years of international and domestic experience, primarily in financial management, taxation, assurance and transaction support.
Prior to joining JOG Captial, Mrs. Gramatke worked in Russia and Kazakhstan in several positions, including CFO of PwC Central Asia, Deputy CFO of GTS (an American NASDAQ listed telecoms company) and Manager with PwC Moscow. From 1990 to 1996, Mrs. Gramatke worked in Calgary as a Financial Controller in private industry and with KPMG focusing on upstream Oil & Gas, construction and mining companies.
Michelle Gramatke received her CA designation in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Lethbridge.
